Mission to Brazil by BTCC
Tampa Bay, FL – May 2-6, 2005-
Jefferson Michaelis, BTCC’s president, will be personally leading
several Tampa Bay representatives to meet with Brazilian business
professionals in different regions of Brazil.
The
trade mission is intended to market Florida as an international business
center, to stimulate trade and establish strategic alliance between
Florida, South America, and the Caribbean. GMCC and American Airlines
originally created the trade mission in 2000, which was endorsed by
Governor Jeb Bush and Florida Legislature. The program has since become
an integral part of the Florida Service Network.
The participants will have the opportunity
to promote Florida Businesses in the eighth largest economy in the
world. 405 of the U.S. Fortune 500 companies have already established
operations in Brazil’s diverse manufacturing base and commercial
environment.
The tour is scheduled to last
approximately five days, which consists of roughly two days in each
city. Michaelis will be visiting and presenting an international seminar
in the cities of Sao Paulo, Campinas and Belo Horizonte. Participants
will have the option of visiting one or more destinations. For those
who cannot travel, BTCC is offering for only $250, a virtual mission
package, where participants can send their companies brochures and
promotional material to promote its products and services in Brazil.
The program will include, reduced
roundtrip airfare, reduced hotel rates, service exporting manual,
networking opportunities and in-country briefing by conducted by the
U.S. Embassy or U.S. Commercial Service.
