Short Term Law Program in the United States
August 2008
Purpose: To provide short, intensive, high quality, customized group programs in the field of Law in particular for Brazilian students.
Program Content: This program incorporates classroom training with hands-on practical experiences. Training will be customized to meet each group’s training needs. For example, if only practical training is desired, we will work to create a practical program to match the group’s needs.
Classroom training will consist of a series of seminars and workshops facilitated by local professionals and professors with expertise and experience in the group’s training field. Some classroom training will involve site visits to local organizations whose work is relevant to the group’s training field. For example a program in law would include visits to the city courthouse, private law firms, prisons, etc. Site visits and training are always customized to the needs and desires of the group.
All of our programs include opportunities to take part in cultural activities. Activities include visits to museums, sporting events, theater, festivals etc. Some activities may be at the group’s cost however we try to seek out cultural opportunities that are free of charge.
Living Accommodations: Every group has two choices for living accommodations, host families or shared apartment living. We will also provide the group with a bus pass for the month.
Apartment Living - Apartment living is at the individual’s own cost. If they are interested in an apartment We can locate an apartment that can be shared by individuals in the group. The cost of the apartments varies depending on the city the program takes place in. The group is responsible for their food expenses
Host Family Living - We can provide host family living free of cost. Each individual has his/her own bedroom, a shared bathroom and will be provided breakfast and dinner. Host families are located near public transportation. Depending on the interests of the host family the individual may be expected to participate in family activities.
Program Participants: This program is an excellent opportunity for companies looking to explore the U.S. market first hand, individuals with a limited amount of time for professional development, and individuals looking for a customized program to meet their professional needs.
Program Benefits: This program benefits international professionals by providing:
