BTCC & FIBS Career Training Program

Application Deadline: May - October 2006
Apply 5 weeks before desired start date.
Program Dates: 2-18-month programs beginning at the start of each month.
Number of Participants: 12-15

Responsibilities of participant:
  • Pay for the visa (contact your country representative for fee information)
  • Pay FIBS classes fee (contact your country representative for fee information)
  • Pay SEVIS fee (effective September 1, 2004).
  • Pay for health insurance (you should have the insurance for the visa's duration)
Responsibilities of host company:
  • Provides internship
  • Completes training plan outlining scope and content of participant's training program
  • Compensation is negotiable between host company and trainee
Responsibilities of BTCC and FIBS:
  • Provides Internship opportunities and interviewing counseling
  • Secure a practical training position with a company in the U.S.
  • Placement assistance available in certain management fields for an additional fee.
  • Coordinates application and selection process
  • Provides pre-departure orientation information. Arranges insurance, if necessary
  • Provides support throughout the program
  • Housing arrangements (Optional for an additional fee)
  • Logistics guidance
